About This Place

Nestled in the charming coastal town of Stone Harbor, NJ, Coffee Talk is more than just a café — it’s a haven for coffee lovers and breakfast enthusiasts alike. Located conveniently at 299 97th Street, this welcoming spot effortlessly blends rich, expertly brewed coffee with a menu that feels like a warm embrace on any morning.

Coffee Talk specializes in handcrafted coffee drinks that cater to all palates—from their velvety lattes to refreshing iced coffees and robust cold brews that invigorate the senses with each sip. But the true star here isn’t just the coffee. Their menu offers delicious bites that elevate the café experience, like the zingy Jalapeño Bagel with Butter and the classic Lox, perfect for a satisfying snack or a light meal. For those with a sweet tooth, the Candy Cane treat feels festive and delightfully indulgent.

For health-conscious visitors or those craving something fresh and vibrant, their Acai Bowls offer a burst of natural sweetness and energy. The “Bowl Acai” artfully combines apple juice, banana, strawberry, and agave, topped with crunchy granola, fresh banana and strawberry slices, and a drizzle of honey—each spoonful a blend of creamy, crisp, and crunchy textures. The “Super Bowl Acai” takes it up a notch with kale and spinach woven alongside strawberries and bananas, blending superfoods into a delicious indulgence topped with mixed berries and honey. These bowls aren’t just food; they’re a celebration of flavor and nourishment.

Meanwhile, their fruit smoothies allow you to customize your refreshing beverage with a choice of bases like NonFat Vanilla Yogurt or fresh juices, paired with seasonal fruits such as strawberries and blueberries—crafted to delight and refresh. For a true wellness boost, the “Green Monster” meal-in-a-cup combines kale, spinach, banana, Granny Smith apple, and vanilla whey, delivering a vibrant, energizing start to your day.

The ambiance at Coffee Talk feels like a cozy morning ritual you’ll crave every day. Multiple customers have praised the welcoming atmosphere—Nicole LaTorre calls it a “cozy spot with lots of great seating” and highlights the fast, friendly service and easy parking. Meanwhile, Faith Love beautifully captures the essence of this café by describing the aroma upon entry as “floating on a cloud during sunset on the first day of vacation.” The space is always buzzing but never feels overwhelming, maintaining a vibe that invites lingering conversations and tranquil moments.

While not every detail is perfect—some have mentioned minor drawbacks in the restroom facilities and service—these occasional hiccups don’t overshadow the genuine warmth and quality that Coffee Talk delivers. What truly resonates is the joy it brings to its visitors: Kay Brown noted it even got her teenager excited to get out of bed for breakfast, which is no small feat!

Whether you're seeking a rich latte to savor, a vibrant and healthy acai bowl, or a savory breakfast sandwich that might just become your new favorite, Coffee Talk welcomes you with open arms and a menu full of heart. This is a place where coffee meets community, flavor sparks joy, and every visit feels like coming home.

Came here with the girls and had the best breakfast sandwich ever. #3 on a croissant. Came back with my husband days later and he says, "This is the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had" - the #10 on an English muffin. Love that they have such great food options with coffee! Cozy spot, lots of great seating. Service is fast. Easy parking close by. Everything you want in a coffee spot.

Loved our sandwiches, coffee was ok, service was ok, and the vibe and decor inside the shop was top notch. We wanted to love it? But if you’re going to put a sign like this in your one restroom, you ought to make sure there’s soap, paper towels, an empty trash can, and room to actually sit on the toilet. The toilet is right against the wall - you gotta sit on it sideways. Trash is overflowing onto the floor NOT because people are disrespectful, but because it hasn’t been emptied in forever. And people would dry the sink, probably, except there’s no paper towels. The pink slime ring in the toilet bowl means it hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. The problem isn’t disrespectful customers …

First off when you first enter, the smell is like floating on a cloud during sunset on the first day of vacation. The coffee is amazing. Its dark and rich, yet light enough to taste any flavors you add. The baked good are definitely worth it. The line moves very quickly , its always busy here, but not a bad thing ! I recommend highly.

We went there thinking they had açaí (they didn’t) but this mistake was a blessing. The cashier lady was super nice and understating when we told her we wanted açaí. She gave us local options. We still decided to get coffee because their menu was huge and the food looked delicious. We got a vanilla late and a frozen orange juice that hit the spot. And a chocolate crumb cake that was so ypuumy! I never seen chocolate crumb cakes. But most of all out favorite experience here was the cashier lady. I wish we got her name but we were there Wednesday 8/27/25 around 11:30am. Thank you!

This place got my teenager out of the bed in the morning! I think that says it all. She tried one of their breakfast sandwiches on the first day of our trip and the next day she decided to wake up early so she could head over for another one. If you're the parent of a teenager you probably understand how amazing that is! I personally loved treating myself to their amazing lattes. The Butterfinger was my favorite! We will definitely be stopping here again next time we're in the area.

Okay, call me silly because we have been in this town over many years now and we had no idea about how wonderful this joint is. First, it has a large dining area with really cool tables, couches, and an excellent vibe. Then, beyond that, the coffee was excellent, and so was our breakfast food as well. Don't miss the gigantic pastries! It's cool just to sit here!
